Visit to Sevilla.

Wednesday, February 10, the students of 2 nd and 3 rd Ed Cycle Primary and guardians visited the city of Seville. With the dawn, we made our way leaving behind the Cordoba Caliphate, Ecija, the city of towers and cotton, the Roman Carmona ... and finally to our first destination: Coria del Río, where we visited the Museum of Autonomy Andalusia. A new building of 1200 square meters, where we held many workshops and activities whose ultimate goal was to foster understanding of history, identity and reality in Spain. Our next stop was to Italic: "Cradle of emperors" First Roman city founded in Hispania. The ruins of Italica have suffered serious damage and damage caused in large part by the spoliation to which they have been subjected to throughout its history. Yet the highlight as one of the Roman archaeological sites most important in Spain. Finally, with backpacks full of culture, friendship, companionship, living together ... we returned home, to that bit us in Spain.

Medusa. Language

Medusa was one of the three Gorgons. Medusa at birth was covered with every imaginable personal charms and admired all those who saw the congratulating and praising her beauty, especially her hair. In addition, had many suitors. However, Medusa, terribly conceited, dared to say it was superior to the goddess Athena and of course, much more beautiful than she. Athena could wait no longer and turned Medusa into a hideous snake woman becoming her hair, scales covering their bodies disfigured his face and enlarging their teeth turning into fangs and forced to live always with his tongue out. Not content with this, also turned to her sisters. It has been said that the gorgon shared a single tooth, one eye and one horn that is exchanged alternately. As an even greater punishment, Athena Medusa bewitched so that everyone who could see in his horrific ugliness would be turned to stone. Sometime later, the hero Perseus, a young gallant but foolish, organized an expedition to go after him and kill her. To help, received the shield of Athena, Hermes and his sword fell and a helmet given by Hades that made him invisible. Perseus crossed the ocean in search and found them sleeping, and all their snakes. So Athena moved his arm and could not look at Medusa and cut off the head and killed. The other tried to retaliate but Perseus GORGONS escaped without problems. As a result of the death of Medusa Pegasus was born. Later, the hero used Medusa's head to fend off the dreaded giant Atlas since it launched and it was turned into mountains.

Unit 7.

Remember Matter is anything that has mass (measured in kilograms) and occupies a volume (measured in liters). We can find stuff in three different states: solid, liquid and gas. If you want an activity to review these concepts (click on image).

Remember Some of the material properties are: hardness, toughness, elasticity, waterproofing and electrical conduction. To determine which material is best suited to build an object, we must know its characteristics or properties. You may want to perform the following activity on the material properties (click on image).

If you want to assess your knowledge of Unit 7 of CM, I challenge you to perform this little test (click on image).
