As an even greater punishment, Athena Medusa bewitched so that everyone who could see in his horrific ugliness would be turned to stone. Sometime later, the hero Perseus, a young gallant but foolish, organized an expedition to go after him and kill her. Perseus crossed the ocean in search and found them sleeping, and all their snakes. So Athena moved his arm and could not look at Medusa and cut off the head and killed. The other tried to retaliate but Perseus GORGONS escaped without problems. As a result of the death of Medusa Pegasus was born. Later, the hero used Medusa's head to fend off the dreaded giant Atlas since it launched and it was turned into mountains.
